February Update

We trust the New Year has started well for you. It certainly has for East Georgia FCA. First we have added Long County to our area. Long County has had an FCA presence before, but it has recently been revived. We are excited about the two coaches that will be leading FCA huddles in the middle/high school in Ludowici. Go Wildcats!
Next, we had two people from the Lyons community volunteer to lead an FCA Team Bible Study with the Toombs County girls’ soccer team. The Bible study has been well received by the girls and has been a great experience for the volunteers. They have met three times so far and have already seen a young lady commit her life to Christ. Go Lady Dawgs!
If you love hunting and fishing then you are going to want to be a part of FCA Outdoors. FCA Outdoors is a new ministry avenue that uses the outdoors as a platform for the Gospel. We already have a volunteer point person to lead this ministry and some tentative things on the calendar that we will be sharing in the coming months.
One of the tools we use at FCA to help us screen volunteers is called a Ministry Leadership Application (MLA). This is a great tool to asses if a person is a good fit for FCA. It is also helpful to asses a person’s spiritual condition. Recently while completing an MLA, one of our coaches realized he had never committed his life to Christ. So he did! Then recently at the first baseball practice of the year this coach shared his testimony with his team. He said they had the best first day of practice he has ever had. Way to go coach!
Because of you and your support the Kingdom is being advanced through the platform of sport in our local public and private schools. Please pray for FCA coaches, athletes, and volunteers as they try to be the hands and feet of Jesus on their campuses.
