Were you one of the 114 Million?
If so you were part of history. This year’s Super Bowl was the most watched event in US history. This reminds me of some words from Joe Ehrmann in his book Inside Out Coaching: “Contemporary sports are our secular religion. Sports engage more individuals, more families, and more communities in a shared experience than any single cultural activity, organization, or religion in America.” Wow! Someone needs to leverage this power of sport for the Gospel! Good news! FCA is doing that very thing in our communities. Folks like Jermaine who led a team bible study for his football team and now is doing the same for his basketball team. Then there is Logan who will spend at least two weeks in the Dominican using sports to communicate the gospel to young people. There are also adults like Eric who started as a chaplain for one of our schools and has been able to move from one sport to the next connecting athletes and coaches to Christ. Without a doubt these things and more like them would not be happening without your support. Thank you for helping us be your hands and feet to the athletes and coaches in our communities.
8th Annual East GA FCA Banquet
On February 25th we will be hosting our 8th annual fundraising banquet. This banquet is vital to sustaining the ministry of FCA in our area because it currently helps fund a large portion of our budget. Funding from the banquet is accomplished in two ways:
1. Banquet Sponsors, who underwrite the banquet and some ministry needs
2. New Home Team Members, who are the key to the long term sustainability of our ministry.
