August Update

August Update

FCA’s fiscal year runs September 1 – August 31 so with that comes a great deal of year end “stuff” that includes but not limited to budgets, evaluations, and ministry plans. The ministry plan process allows us to look back to what has happened this past year and look ahead to what we think is a God given vision. It is exciting to do both. I wanted to share with you two huge additions as we enter this new school year.
First is the addition of a new staff member, Jennifer Blount. Jennifer will be part-time as the Women’s Ministry Director with her responsibilities being to female coaches, coach’s wives and female athletes. She will also be our point person for the campuses in Vidalia and Montgomery County. This is a position that has been a need for some time now and we are super excited about how God is going to use Jennifer in this ministry.
Next is the hiring of a new full-time staff person. Quentin McArthur will serve as the Area Director for East Georgia. Quentin has been involved in FCA ministry for the past 12 years as a volunteer. He and his family will reside in Glennville while he serves the 5 county area. Quinten brings great leadership, accountability and vision to the area.
After serving in the educational system for 15 years if asked if I would rather have books or staff, the answer would always be staff. Please know that we are not hiring new staff just to add staff. We are adding staff to increase ministry. Without a doubt this is the best way to invest our resources at this time. Please pray for us as we raise reoccurring funds for both of these new staff members.

Thank you again for partnering with us and we take this journey together!!
