April 2013

By now everyone has seen the news on Jason Collins, as well as the resulting media attention and discussions across all communications channels. The following is FCA’s position on the matter.

“More than ever, we remain committed to our vision and to share the Gospel of Christ. In discussions you may have with coaches, athletes, donors, etc., that while we firmly believe the Bible is very clear in several passages that participating in homosexual activities and other sexual sins is outside of God’s will for a Christian, we also firmly believe that all people are of great worth and value to God. In following Christ’s example, we firmly believe that all people should be treated with love, dignity and respect.”

To better serve you, we’d like to introduce you to myFCA, a donation and account management website. This is a One-Stop Personal Account Management. If you choose to create a free account at you will be able to:

Camps have the potential to be a high water mark in the life of an athlete or coach.  The spiritual impact of a camp has the potential to not only change a coach or athlete, but all whom that coach or athlete influence.  Believing this, East GA FCA is committed to help get as many coaches and athletes to camp as we can.  So we are currently raising funds to help offset the cost (or scholarship) for 20 athletes and 103coaches and their families to be able to attend camp.  If you would like more information on a particular FCA camp, check out www

The cost for coaches’ camp is approximately $1200.00 depending on the size of the family. Leadership camp is $365.00 and team camp is around $140.00 per athlete.  If you are interested in helping send an athlete or coach to camp, please contact our office.
